How DAMNIT-V Works
From a Complex Patient to a Focused Investigation
DAMNIT-V helps veterinarians identify what is most likely and what to investigate next.
It provides an additional layer of information to support clinical decision-making.
Step 1 — Functional Screening
Screen the patient to get a complete overview of the systems involved.
Screen for the presentation: e.g., Ear disease, seizures, or collapse, etc

Step 2 — Develop and Rank Differentials
DAMNIT-V classifies and ranks screening findings to help the veterinarian develop clinical differentials.
Higher-ranking findings can identify more likely differentials, while lower-ranking findings may suggest other areas to consider.
The veterinarian then compares these findings with the patient’s history, examination and existing diagnostic results.
This helps answer:
What are the most likely differentials, and what should I investigate next?
Screening → Ranked Differentials → Targeted Investigation

Step 3 — Investigate & Confirm
Use the findings to guide conventional investigation.
The veterinarian can select appropriate diagnostic tests to investigate the leading differentials—such as pathology, imaging, microbiology, PCR, cytology, histopathology, endocrine testing, or other appropriate investigations.
DAMNIT-V does not replace these tests.
It helps identify where to look and what may be worth testing.
The findings can also be challenged against the rest of the clinical evidence:
What supports the differential? What contradicts it? What is missing? Could another explanation fit better?
Challenge the Hypothesis
One of the most important parts of clinical reasoning is looking for evidence that could prove the current hypothesis wrong.
The DAMNIT-V Clinical Platform provides AI-assisted clinical review of the case.
It can examine the evidence from different clinical perspectives and ask:
What supports this hypothesis?
What contradicts it?
What evidence is missing?
What alternative explanation fits the findings?
What should be investigated next?
This provides another structured review of the case before conclusions are drawn.
AI-assisted review supports — but does not replace — veterinary clinical judgement.
DAMNIT-V is a veterinary clinical decision-support and functional screening system. DAMNIT-V screening findings should be interpreted in conjunction with the patient’s history, physical examination and appropriate conventional diagnostic procedures. Screening responses do not independently establish the presence or absence of disease.
